Someone at the inaugartion basically has a camera tripod that is timed to move and take photographs, than has a special software that stitches them all together, giving a great depth of an area. You can zoom in on the smallest of details, even check out President Obama, and you can see Bush and Cheney behind him, and George Bush Sr behind them, crazy details.
